Ok, NBA free agency is out of control at this point and we WILL get to that, but I need to touch on a few stories unrelated to basketball. I'll make it quick, I promise.

MLB
Bill Hall and Darnell McDonald. Sounds more like the guys who announced the Red Sox game than who is playing second base and right field for Boston. The Red Sox have not been bitten by the injury bug, they have been run down by his car and beaten with the injury bat.

Free Has Never Cost So Much

    They call it free agency because the players are no longer contractually obligated to their current team, but it is anything but free. This summer's free agency period is especially "un-free" because of the looming chance of a lockout and possible work stoppage next summer unless the NBA and Player's Association can agree on a new collective bargaining agreement. Because of this, players are looking to cash in as much as possible. Cases in point:

Even though the 2009 Draft was as top heavy as Pamela Anderson, that doesn't mean that your favorite NBA won't be better next year. That's right it's free agency time and while this year's class is the JV hitting the court before the heavyweight free agent class of 2010, there are some very good players available to put your team on the right track.
