They call it free agency because the players are no longer contractually obligated to their current team, but it is anything but free. This summer's free agency period is especially "un-free" because of the looming chance of a lockout and possible work stoppage next summer unless the NBA and Player's Association can agree on a new collective bargaining agreement. Even though the 2009 Draft was as top heavy as Pamela Anderson, that doesn't mean that your favorite NBA won't be better next year.
